615 South Union Avenue, c. 1961
As with several other nearby buildings, this property was acquired by Walter F. and Anna H. Mitchell in 1922 from Annie E. Seneca, Walter Mitchell’s aunt. After the 1944 death of Walter Mitchell, his widow and daughter sold the property to Louis and Rose Miller. It is not known if there was a building here at that time. It appears that the current building was built in 1961 by The Maryland Company, the President of which was Omer L. Carson, and designed as physician offices.
In 1961 the building was sold to Dr. John Yun; in 1970 it was sold to Dr. William K. Brendle; and in 1973 to Dr. Karl Namvary. The latter was a practicing physician, specializing in obstetrics/gynecology, who died in 2014. The building is now owned by Vaseema Enterprises.
