611 South Union Avenue, c. 1961

As with several other nearby buildings, this property was acquired by Walter F. and Anna H. Mitchell in 1922 from Annie E. Seneca, Walter Mitchell’s aunt. After the 1944 death of Walter Mitchell, his widow and daughter sold the property to Louis and Rose Miller who owned it for the next 16 years.
The Millers sold it in 1960. It is assumed that whatever building was on the lot at that time was probably demolished. Therefore, it is also assumed that the owners at that time, Frank D. and Sarah G. Hauber, constructed the new red brick building. In 1978, however, this building was bought by a physician, Dr. Antonio Calon, who converted it for his surgery practice with other doctors for several years. From 2000 until 2004 there was a different medical practice here.
Beginning in 2014 this was the home of MarketPoint, a market research and branding company. Prior to the latest sale of this property, renovations were made, including installation of new air-conditioning. The new owner in 2018 was Audrey Forka, who is affiliated with the University of Maryland Harford Memorial Hospital Outpatient Mental Health Clinic.
